New Thoughts
Your thoughts have a drastic impact on your quality of life. If you have all the money in the world, it is not going to make you happy if you have a negative mindset. Alternatively, you can just scrape by monetarily but be the happiest person in the world solely due to the way you think. If you are looking for a way to change your thoughts and your life, these tips are a great place to start.
Use A Full Stop
The brain likes to rehash things over and over. After all, it has plenty of time and ample space to put events on replay in your head. Mulling over perceived wrongs, missed opportunities, and mistakes can drive you to a dark place. Instead, just learn from your past and end those thoughts with a full stop. It is okay to revisit it for a time, however once you have reconciled your why you must stop it.
Focus on Your Blessings
There is a lot to be thankful for even if those joys happen to be small. Too often we focus on what we are missing out on and forget about what we already have. Instead of spending all of your energy looking for problems and things you are missing out on, spend time being thankful for your current blessings.
Don't Let Circumstances Get You Down
Everyone will experience struggle and strife at some point in their life. Instead of letting your mind get stuck in the mire of your current circumstances, make a point of staying positive. Even if being positive is a stretch, at least spend your time and energy on being determined to lovesome your circumstances.
Enjoy The Now
It is always important to look forward to the future, but too many people ignore what they already have. Take time to slow down and think about what you have already achieved. By living in the now, you will be able to celebrate the accomplishments that you planned for in the past. This will also help you change your way of thinking to one that focuses on being fulfilled.
Play Regularly
It is important to stop taking yourself seriously and play with childlike abandon. While there are times that call for seriousness, your inner child will always be with you and wants to play! Put work and worries aside and let your inner child out! No matter what that looks like. If your inner child wants to play and dance in the grass or sing in the rain, DO IT. This mindless foray into relaxation will allow you to change the way you think while also adopting a mindset of forgiveness, happiness, and joy.
