Here is a team building workshop to try with your team. If you have not read the series "Breaking Boundaries", please do so now prior to proceeding.
Team-Building Challenge: "Breaking Down Walls"
Objective:
The objective of this challenge is to promote teamwork, camaraderie, and empathy among team members by fostering collaboration in a fun and interactive setting.
Activity:
- Organize a team-building challenge that requires collaboration and problem-solving skills, such as an escape room or a scavenger hunt (designed with your teams safety and handbook in mind). The challenge should be designed to encourage team members to work together, communicate effectively, and leverage each other's strengths to achieve a common goal.
- Divide the team into smaller groups and provide each group with a set of clues or challenges to complete within a specified time frame. The challenges should be designed to require cooperation and coordination among team members, discouraging individualistic behavior and promoting teamwork.
- Throughout the challenge, observe team dynamics and interactions, paying attention to how team members communicate, problem-solve, and support each other. After the challenge, facilitate a debriefing session where teams can reflect on their experiences, discuss what worked well, and identify areas for improvement.
- Encourage team members to share their observations and insights about collaboration and teamwork during the challenge. Use this opportunity to reinforce the importance of working together, breaking down barriers, and supporting each other to create a more cohesive and inclusive team environment.
